♣ Thought of the Week

◘ Steve Jobs liked to Email Himself
Twelve years ago, late on a Thursday night, Steve Jobs emailed himself a profound reflection.
His message begins with a statement of dependence: “I grow little of the food I eat, and of the little I do grow, I did not breed or perfect the seeds.”
In a mere 132 words, he expresses a deep sense of wonder and connection, cataloging the contributions of others to music, language, laws, and technology, thereby conveying profound gratitude.
♣ Tech
◘ The Number#1 Creator Trained his Own AI... It beat ChatGPT
Never in my life did I think I would see Fleix doing this kind of video! It’s seriously cool watching his whole journey: from screaming his head off playing scary games on camera to moving overseas for those family docs, getting super fit, becoming an awesome husband and dad, and even building his own AI.
I’ve been following Pewds and Marzia forever.
♣ Creator Economy
◘ They Bought An Abandoned Farm in France and Here is the One Year Progress
This couple purchased a neglected 34-acre farm in the Dordogne, France, in June 2023 and recorded their one year journey. Their first year was a challenge of clearing overgrown land, repairing old buildings, and setting up for sustainable living. Despite relentless rain and setbacks, they made significant progress, including starting a vegetable garden and fixing a tractor. This video is for those who like time-lapse videos. Enjoy!
♣ Pop Culture
◘ Where Do You Put the Camera?
If there’s one question that every filmmaker asks themselves, it’s “Where do I put the camera?” Today, we consider the things that really matter when answering that question.
A wonderful Video Essay by Taylor Ramos & Tony Zhou. Must watch if you are into filmmaking.
♣ Business
◘ The Solopreneur: He Makes $1.7M With 0 Employees
Justin Welsh is one of my favorite solopreneurs. I have followed him for a long time and learn so much from him.
In a Starter Story episode, Justin Welsh and Patt Wall meet in downtown New York City. Welsh details how he built his one-person business to over $1.7 million annually, sharing his content strategy, essential tools, daily routine, and top-tier advice for new solo entrepreneurs. Enjoy the insights!
