♣ Thought of the Week
◘ Someone asked on X: What’s the coldest quote you lot ever heard?
And another person shared this.
When Novak Djokovic said this after winning the Australian Open in 2012.
One of the coldest quotes one can remember. This guy is built different.
◘ Sometimes, I have thoughts like this that are out of my imagination. I bet you too!
How quickly would the oceans drain if a circular portal 20 meters in diameter appeared at the bottom of Challenger Deep, the deepest spot in the ocean? How would the Earth change as the water is being drained?
♣ Tech
◘ The largest country in the world built a system to track its citizens. This is how they do it.
SCARY!
VICE's Elle Reeve heads to China to investigate the rise of facial recognition technology — and what that means for all of us.
♣ Creator Economy
◘ BAGDAD!
We read a lot about this city after the USA invaded Iraq. There’s some truth, and there’s some false side to every story. But how much do you know about BAGDAD, or its people?
Creator team Yes Theory shows you the real Baghdad in their “ 100 HOURS IN BAGHDAD IN 2024” video.
MUST WATCH!
“I was an American Soldier, and spent a year in Baghdad from 2005-2006. Mostly in Karradah, Al-Dora, and Al-Kindi. I watched every minute of this intently, to see if I recognized anything. I spent many days on patrol in the back streets of those neighborhoods. I made many Iraqi friends, some are now here in the U.S. Others are dead, and I miss them dearly. Especially my good friend Ruqqaya Ibrahim, who we called "Sarah", She was one of my interpreters and was fearless on many missions. She died in 2017 and is missed by so many.
I was an invader, but the Iraqi people were kind and warm. I cannot take back the reasons why I was there, but I learned much from the Iraqi people and was changed by my experiences.
Thank you for this video. It brought back many memories.”
♣ Pop Culture
◘ I am a fan of DC films, TV series, animation, and comics. But I also love Marvel. Maybe I am the small minority who loves both of their movies.
I always wondered why Marvel films and DC films are different. Here’s a very good analysis of their difference. Ignore the clickbait thumbnail!
I like DC. "Detective Comics" (DC) makes you curious, while "Marvel" makes you think of something amazing. In Marvel stories, the audience usually knows the big picture: a huge evil plan, a massive fight, and a big win. There's not much mystery about what the characters are doing or why things are happening.
What’s your thought?
♣ Business
◘ Starting a business is not easy. You might have the idea, but don’t have the push. Watch this video, it’s a book review of Noah Kagan’s book “Million Dollar Weekend”.
I like this book. It pushes you to a simple task, simple yet hard. Which will help you start your next big business. Deya amazingly reviewed the book in the video. Kudos!

♣ Photo of the Week
◘ Former American president Jimmy Carter died. I opened X (Former Twitter), and this caught my eye. RIP.
♣ Quote of the Week
“The most important decision you make is to be in a good mood.” — Voltaire
◘ Pause for a moment. Think about this. Is not that right? Is not this the most important decision of our life?
Are you in a good mood today?
